“Strip That Down” by Liam Payne

Liam-Payne-600x506Former 1D member Liam Payne is treading a familiar terrain with rhythmic-pop solo debut in “Strip That Down” featuring Quavo of Migos trio. Liam has never got the attention he deserves but with this Ed Sheeran-penned banger, the 23-year old Brit pop singer is poised to put his head and shoulders above the pack.

“Strip That Down” is a radio-friendly track and sonically generic sound that mines Liam’s earthy vein as a womanizer sexily crooning atop a plodding beat and raucous fare: “You know, I love it when the music stop but come on strip that down for me” and battles with identity crisis with line “You know I used to be in 1D, now I’m free. People want me for one thing, that’s not me.” Kinda confusing indeed but who takes lyrics so seriously when you only come for the catchy club-ready fodder that makes 1D a household name.
